Ascension Body Modification was opened Jan 1st, 2010 by Steve Truitt. Our piercers are Ares and Phil. We are proud members of the Association of Professional Piercers with over 20 years experience.  Our tattoo artists Cooper, Solas Jansen, Niko Cifuentes and shop apprentice Talon VanHowten have combined over 60 years experience and are very knowledgable in their art. General Information

We offer the best body jewelry in the world and have one of the largest selections in the state. We carry jewelry from: Anatometal, Neometal, Intrinsic, Industrial Strength, BVLA, Tawapa, Maya, Evolve, Safe Products, Glasswear Studios, Little Seven, Diablo Organics, and more! We also carry the Sullen, Black Craft Cult, and Beardly and the Black Sheep clothing lines and the H2Ocean aftercare line  in the studio.
All of our artists have many years of experience and carry current Blood Borne Pathogens, CPR, and First Aid training and are licensed by the State of NM and the City of Albuquerque. 
We use the most current sterilization techniques and procedures. We are fully disposable for tattoos, all needles and tubes are new, single use, pre sterilized, and disposed of after use. All jewelry and equipment used in piercing is sterilized immediately before use in the Statim autoclave and taken out of it in front of you. All of our autoclaves are spore tested to make sure they are working properly on weekly basis. 

We take every step we can to ensure you are safe and comfortable during your visit to our studio. Everyone is welcome here.

We are located on the South-East corner of Central and Terrace (next to LA Underground) in the UNM area of Albuquerque, NM.

Mon-Thurs: 11am-8pm

Fri-Sat:  11am-9pm

Sun: Noon-7pm

We are by appointment, but will accommodate walk ins when possible. Weekends generally book up early, so it’s best to make appointments on those days.

MINOR POLICY: MUST READ!

Minors must have a picture ID and Original Birth Certificate.

A parent must be present with their ID. Legal guardians must have ID and guardianship paperwork.

Acceptable forms of ID include: A valid State ID, Driver’s License or Permit, a valid temporary ID, Passport or Current School Photo IN HAND. Unfortunately we cannot accept a digital student ID.

Ages and Services Available:

5 years+: Earlobes Only. (Must have original birth certificate & parent ID).

13 years+: Lobes & Outer cartilage. 15 years+: Body/Facial Piercings. 17 years+: Tattoo (Design/Location/Artist Dependent.)

No nipple or genital piercings on anyone under 18.

CANCELLATION FEE:

Booking an appointment does require a credit card to reserve your time slot but you will not be charged. The card will only be charged if you No Call/ No Show or Show up with out the proper paperwork. Showing up late for your appointment can result in a cancellation fee.

For the health and safety of our work, we do not use outside jewelry. If you plan on using jewelry previously purchased from us, please drop your jewelry off in a container or sealed bag 1 hour before your scheduled appointment.
